The atmosphere in the class is relaxed and friendly. Michelle's use of many different types of balls, bands and blocks ensures there is never a dull moment. "I've always suffered from lower back pain, with my problems increasing after having children. Although I thought it didn't have a huge impact on my life, I think this was simply because I learned to live with it. Being 6ft tall I assumed the pain was linked to my posture and I dreaded the 'twinge' when bending down, warning me to stop what I was doing! I've been doing Michelle's Pilates class for 2 terms now. When I started I didn't understand what Pilates was and thought it would simply help with flexibility as I was getting older. But Pilates has helped me in so many other ways. My lower back pain has stopped. I can't say why or how, but it has! And I realise now, that pain did have a big impact on my life . Michelle is an amazing instructor. However many are in the class, she will come round to help you individually and show you personally what you need to do to get the maximum benefit from an exercise. Pilates and Michelle have literally changed my life and I'm so very grateful."

"Just wanted to tell you how much I enjoy your Pilates classes, and how much I am benefiting from them physically! Having suffered for 15 years from chronic (almost daily) neck and shoulder pain due to a repetitive strain injury, I am delighted to say that since attending your classes I'm virtually pain free! I'd previously relied on chiropractic and massage treatments to keep it under control but you've shown me that Pilates can be a permanent way of rectifying my poor posture and over tight muscles. The classes are fun, friendly and relaxed, the routines are never boring as there are always new moves to challenge us. You are attentive to all of us in adjusting positions where necessary in a gentle way, whilst explaining sometimes difficult postures in a way we can relate to! "Learning Pilates with Michelle has been the best decision I have ever made! I was born with a dislocated hip which gave me problems until I had it replaced 16 years ago. Since then, I have worked hard to learn to walk properly and keep fit. On hitting 50, that I found myself having problems with my hip again. Unable to do my physio exercises, I was worried about my mobility as I grew older. I have been working 1:1 with Michelle for the past year and I now walk better than I ever done and my hip pain has gone. She has a talent for analysing what you need and helping you achieve it. She has such a friendly manner and is so encouraging that I always leave our lessons feeling positive and taller! All my life, people have pointed out to me that I limp when I am tired but I actually can not remember the last time someone said this to me. Michelle has helped me to strengthen my body, given me ease of movement and made me stronger and fitter. I only wish I had met her years ago!"

“I love Michelle’s Pilates classes. Each class is different and varied, but familiar enough that you really notice your own self-improvement. Michelle is an amazing teacher, it’s clear she really knows her stuff and each of her class members well and her lessons are conducted with the perfect balance of efficiency and humour. She is very hands on which is so helpful to be physically moved to feel the correct positions your body should be in and helps to accelerate your learning and understanding of Pilates. Since starting as an absolute beginner two years ago I cannot even begin to describe how much stronger I feel in my core and all over my body. I hold myself so much better and a shoulder injury I’d had for years seems to have gone. Not only am I reaping the physical benefits, I find my hour of Pilates allows my mind time to stop and because of this my mental health has really improved. I cannot recommend Michelle’s classes enough (and often do to anyone who’ll listen) and many of my friends now also practise with her too. It is one of my favourite hours of the week and I feel very lucky to be taught by Michelle. “
